Methods for determining rehabilitation measures in the field of social rehabilitation in children with infantile cerebral palsy

The aim of the study is a comparative analysis of methods for determining rehabilitation measures in the field of social rehabilitation in children with infantile cerebral palsy. The urgency of rehabilitating children with infantile cerebral palsy is relevant due to increase of this disease worldwide. Rehabilitation and expert diagnosis is necessary to determine the rehabilitation diagnosis. The novelty of the work is effectiveness evaluation of two methods for determining the rehabilitation diagnosis. In children diagnosed with cerebral palsy, a standard method of rehabilitation and expert diagnosis was used to determine social rehabilitation measures and the method of social diagnosis using the core ICF sets for children with infantile cerebral palsy. The study performed using the above-indicated two methods did not reveal any differences in defining rehabilitation measures in the field of social rehabilitation. Taking into account the time spent for performing the standard method of rehabilitation and expert diagnostics (30 minutes) for developing rehabilitation measures it is advantageous to use the standard method of rehabilitation and expert diagnostics, as it took 120 minutes to develop rehabilitation measures using the core ICF set. Successful social rehabilitation of a child diagnosed with infantile cerebral palsy is his social adaptation.
