Lien morphology in offspring of rats with secondary immunodeficiency

The purpose of the research was studying morpho-functional characteristics of lien in offspring of rats with the secondary immunodeficiency caused by splenectomy in females before pregnancy. By means of general morphological and luminescent-histochemical methods of study it is revealed that in splenectomied rats’ offspring in the white pulp of the lien decrease in the number of luminescing granular cells and augmentation of their quantity in a red pulp are observed. Multidirectional changes in the level of biogenic amines, decrease of lymphoid nodules area and their germinal centers are detected that indicates development of organ hypoplasia and depression of its functional activity.
