Clinical evaluation of acute pancreatitis severity in light of new international classification

The paper presents the results of the retrospective analysis of treatment outcomes in 461 cases of acute pancreatitis within years 2009 – 2013. Overall mortality totaled 5.9%, while in the group of 87 patients, who had undergone surgery, 27 (31%) patients died. The authors made a detailed research into the classification and causes of local purulent-septic complications of acute pancreatitis.
