Clinical features and therapeutic approach in case of local complications of acute pancreatic necrosis in light of new international classification of acute pancreatitis–2012

The paper presents the results of studying the degrees of severity of acute pancreatitis in 461 patients who were undergoing treatment within 5 year-period (2009–2013). The authors give a clinical evaluation of acute pancreatitis severity based on the analysis of clinical and biochemical criteria, ultrasound and CT findings and regard a possibility of using the BISAP and Marshall scores in predicting mortality in patients with acute pancreatitis.In case of septic complications, emergency surgery is required.
