Influence of «Nephromon» on biogenic amines dynamics in chronic pyelonephritis

The results of chronic pyelonephritis complex treatment using «Nephromon» containing flavonoids are presented. Exacerbation of pyelonephritis was noted to be characterized by an increase in inflammatory mediators – serotonin, histamine and catechol amines. Anti-inflammatory therapy with flavonoids results in decrease in not only histamine, but serotonin as a competitive amine as well and influences the serotonin system as a whole. Against the background of clinical improvement, there was a reduction in inflammation and improvement in kidney function.
